NC STATE MISSIONS
NC FWB State Missions exists to fulfill the Great Commission by supporting and strengthening missions churches across North Carolina. Grounded in Christ’s call to make disciples, the ministry provides encouragement, resources, and partnership to help mission works grow and thrive. It also calls every NC FWB church to actively give, pray, and visit these mission groups, working together to advance the Gospel throughout our state.

Equip FWB Church
​Equip Church launched September 17th, 2023, in Longview Elementary School where they are currently meeting. Since Launch, the church has seen numerical and spiritual growth. Most of the congregation have never faithfully attended a church before Equip! People are being saved, baptized, and are now serving. In addition to Sunday morning service, the church meets for small groups in homes and has men and women’s discipleship groups. Discipleship is at the heart of the Great Commission, and it is at the core of Equip Church. Equip Church exists to equip God’s people to do his work and build his church.
Brandon Smith was born on July 29, 1985, in Tampa, Florida. He was saved at the age of 16 at New Hope Free Will Baptist church in Dover, Florida. Brandon answered the call to preach at the age of 17 and has been serving in the ministry since then. He moved to West Virginia in 2005 where he met and married Shelly in 2006. Brandon was ordained by the Fayette association in West Virginia in 2015. He has served as pastor of 3 churches. Shelly was born on February 22, 1987, in Fairlea, West Virginia and was raised in a pastor’s family. In addition to being involved in the women’s, children’s and singing ministries of the church, Shelly has her degree in education. Brandon and Shelly have three boys – Landon, Jordan, and Joshua.
